Kathleen Petty, MPH

Kathleen has more than 13 years of experience in the communications field in which she excels at leading integrated campaigns in earned media and thought leadership and is adept at understanding what makes news and how to work with journalists to secure high-quality feature stories. She taps into her public health education to conduct formative research, including environmental scans and message testing, to bring ideas into action on behalf of several professional medical and scientific societies. She currently leads earned media campaigns for HRSA and a public health education campaign for TakeCare focused on improving health and well-being through Whole Health. Prior she was at The Glover Park Group/FGS Global and Levick Strategic Communications in DC. Kathleen was honored as a PR News Person of the Year in 2020 and named a finalist as Washington Women in PR Emerging Leaders in 2022. Kathleen earned her M.P.H. with a specialty in health behavior/health promotion from The Ohio State University and her B.A. from American University.
